In September 1979, Malak “Mimi” Haddad, a 34-year-old Jordanian-American woman and mother of three, was found brutally murdered outside her home in Allen Park, Michigan. On the morning of September 21, her children—Audrey Edward and Evelyn —were preparing to leave for school when they discovered their mother's decapitated body on the front lawn.
