Myrtle Luce, a 95-year-old female resident of the Alpine Manor nursing home in Walker, Michigan, became one of the victims in a series of shocking murders that came to light in 1987. Luce's death was not of natural causes but was a homicide carried out by two of the very people entrusted with her care. Her life was cut short by nurse's aides Gwendolyn Graham and Catherine Wood, who were later found to be responsible for the deaths of five elderly women at the facility.
