On March 2, 1981, Joe Edward Duque, an 18-year-old Hispanic male from San Antonio, Texas, was found brutally murdered. His death was one of several linked to a series of violent killings that spanned both San Antonio and Dallas. According to police reports, Duque was beaten to death with a three-foot cedar post, a method consistent with the extreme brutality seen in other cases attributed to the same suspect.
