A man is attacked after dropping off his child
On November 29, 1987, 35-year-old Richard Hernandez was brutally attacked in an alleyway behind a shopping center at 4900 W. Commerce Street in San Antonio, Texas. The incident occurred shortly after Hernandez had dropped off his 13-year-old son at his estranged wife’s home. As he walked home, Hernandez was ambushed by several assailants who used sticks and broken beer bottles to beat him to death. The violence left Hernandez fatally injured, and he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
