Lesa Irene Otberg, a 24-year-old Caucasian female, died on January 1, 1994, in Muskegon County, Michigan. Born on January 11, 1969, she was known by her maiden name, Schwab, and had grown up in the Grand Rapids area. Lesa attended Coit Elementary, Northeast Middle School, and Central High School. She was remembered by those who knew her as someone who enjoyed simple pleasures—Pepsi, Mt. Dew, Whoppers from Burger King, and country music. Her death was ruled a homicide.
