Lesa Irene Otberg, a 24-year-old Caucasian female, was found deceased on January 1, 1994, in Muskegon County, Michigan. Her death was ruled a homicide. Otberg, who was known by her maiden name, Schwab, had grown up in the Grand Rapids area, where she attended Coit Elementary, Northeast Middle School, and Central High School. Those who knew her remembered her as someone who enjoyed simple pleasures like Pepsi, Mt. Dew, Whoppers from Burger King, and country music.
