Wendie Rochelle Prescott, a 22-year-old African American woman, was found dead on December 24, 1996, in her apartment at the Peartree Apartments in Arlington, Texas. She worked as a teacher's aide for second-grade students at Erma Nash Elementary and was known for her warm personality and dedication to her family and students.
