Maria Ojeda, a 46-year-old woman of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically lost her life on July 27, 2014, in Arlington, Texas. She was shot and killed behind a restaurant on Abram Street. Witnesses reported that Hector Acosta, 50, killed Ojeda before attempting to take his own life. Acosta was hospitalized but later died from his injuries. Investigators believe this incident was domestic-related, although the exact nature of the relationship between Ojeda and Acosta remains unclear.
