Biata Beatrice Toronczak, a 32-year-old white woman originally from Poland, was reported missing in February 1996 after moving into the San Diego apartment of her former partner, Ramon Jay Rogers. The two shared a five-year-old son, and Toronczak had relocated from Poland to live with Rogers. Shortly after her arrival, she vanished under suspicious circumstances.
