The search for Linda Price came to a grim conclusion on November 3, 1995, when her family members found her deceased in the bathtub of her Jackson apartment. Investigators who responded to the scene determined that she had been brutally stabbed multiple times and her throat had been slashed. There were no signs of forced entry, and the killer had locked the door upon leaving, leading detectives to suspect she knew her attacker. Her new boyfriend, Glen Rogers, was nowhere to be found.
Authorities soon discovered that Glen Rogers was not just a smoothtalking stranger but was, in fact, already a wanted man. He was a suspect in the murder of a woman in California that had occurred just before he met Linda. Rogers, who became known as the 'Casanova Killer' and the 'Cross-Country Killer,' was apprehended on November 13, 1995, following a police chase in Kentucky. He was found driving a car belonging to another one of his victims. Rogers would later claim to have killed over 70 people. Though he was convicted and sentenced to death for murders in Florida and California, he never stood trial for the murder of Linda Price. Years later, Linda's family, including her mother and sister, traveled to Florida to witness his execution by lethal injection, finding a measure of closure in the final act of a long and painful saga.
