On a cold winter day, January 11, 1959, the life of 29-year-old Carroll Vernon Jackson, a White male, was tragically cut short in a horrific crime that also claimed the lives of his wife and two young daughters. The Jackson family was traveling along a dirt road in the Fredericksburg, Virginia, area after visiting relatives when their journey home turned into a nightmare.
