On February 9, 2025, 52-year-old Iona Pollard was found deceased from an apparent gunshot wound at her home on Rocky Knoll Lane near Fort Hill Lane in Richmond, Texas. The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m., according to witness accounts of law enforcement activity in the neighborhood. Iona Pollard was employed as an instructional coach at George Junior High School in the Lamar Consolidated Independent School District.
