On February 17, 2025, Emanuel Ceazer, a 47-year-old Black man, was found dead inside an apartment on Cypress Station Drive near FM 1960 in Houston, Texas. His mother, 76-year-old Alberta Ceazer, was also discovered deceased at the scene. The tragic incident unfolded in a residential complex, where neighbors reported hearing a verbal argument and commotion near the victims' apartment on the night of the shooting.
Authorities responded to the location after receiving a call from a family
member who lived in the apartment. This individual, Alberta Ceazer’s other son and Emanuel Ceazer’s brother, reportedly arrived home to find his mother and brother unresponsive. Upon arrival, deputies confirmed that both victims had suffered fatal gunshot wounds.
Following an investigation, law enforcement officials arrested 27-year-old Antoine McGee, the grandson of Alberta Ceazer and nephew of Emanuel Ceazer. McGee was charged with capital murder in connection with the deaths. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez announced the arrest, stating that McGee was taken into custody and was being held on a $4 million bond. He was scheduled to appear in court the following Monday.
While authorities have confirmed McGee’s arrest, details regarding the motive behind the shooting remain unclear. Investigators have not disclosed what led up to the violent incident or how McGee was identified as the primary suspect. The case continues to unfold as officials work to piece together the circumstances surrounding the deaths of Emanuel Ceazer and Alberta Ceazer.
