On January 25, 2025, 61-year-old Charles Childress, a white male, was found deceased alongside 59-year-old Kimberly Newcomb in their shared residence on Heatherwood Drive in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. A concerned friend, unable to reach them, visited the home and discovered Newcomb's body, prompting a call to 911.
