On a tragic Fourth of July in 2020, 39-year-old Fred Swick, a male resident of Spotsylvania, Virginia, lost his life in a violent roadside confrontation. The evening took a fatal turn when Fred and his 38-year-old brother, Joe Swick, were discovered deceased inside their vehicle, which was stopped in the middle of Fox Run Drive. The Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call around 10:15 p.m. and found the two brothers had been fatally shot.
