In the early morning hours of October 28, 2024, the life of 15-year-old Soloman Taylor, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short in Seattle's Central District. The incident, which unfolded around 7:45 a.m. at the intersection of East Spring Street and 27th Avenue, sent shockwaves through the community. According to the King County Medical Examiner's Office, Taylor succumbed to a gunshot wound to the torso. At the time of his death, he was a freshman at Garfield High School.
