John Stevenson, a 48-year-old Caucasian male, was found deceased in his Town of Corning residence on March 18, 2025, after he did not show up for work. The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office received a call for a welfare check at approximately 6:06 p.m. and dispatched deputies to his home. Upon arrival, they discovered Mr. Stevenson's body.

An investigation into his death led to the arrest of his son, 25-year-old Austin David Stevenson, also of Merrill, around 7:30 p.m. on the same day. When ...
