In the early evening of Monday, July 16, 2012, tragedy struck on the north side of Milwaukee. Delinkko Kearney, a 33-year-old African-American male, was fatally shot in the 600 block of W. Ring St. The incident, which occurred around 5:30 p.m., marked another life lost to gun violence in the city.
Milwaukee police quickly responded to the scene and launched a homicide investigation. Initial reports indicated that authorities were actively seeking suspects in connection with the shooting.
