On the evening of Wednesday, April 16, 2025, emergency services in Madison, Wisconsin, responded to a call regarding a shooting in the 1200 block of Fish Hatchery Road. Upon arrival, police found 19-year-old De'Shawn L. Sturkey, a Black male, with a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
