A white male, Hart was a retired U.S. Army Sergeant First Class. The incident unfolded on December 16, 2024, at a residence on West Creek Drive. Clarksville Police Department officers were dispatched to the scene around 2:00 p.m. following reports of a shooting.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered that Hart had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical services transported him to Tennova Healthcare-Clarksville, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead a short time later. The preliminary investigation suggested that the shooting occurred during an argument Hart was having with his wife.
