In the evening of May 7, 2025, in the first block of Connor Place in Portsmouth, Virginia, a burst of violence cut short the life of 32-year-old Nikale Kwame Gordon Sr. First responders arrived at the scene, just off George Washington Highway, around 8:20 p.m. to find Gordon suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was rushed to a local hospital for medical attention, but his injuries proved to be too severe, and he later died.
