In the quiet town of Eden, Vermont, a tragedy unfolded on April 9, 2025, shattering the community's sense of peace. Karol Buchanan, a 70-year-old Caucasian female, was found deceased in her home on Route 100. Authorities were dispatched to the residence after receiving a 911 call in the early afternoon, leading to the somber discovery.
Upon entering the house, deputies from the Lamoille County Sheriff's Department and a State Fish and Wildlife Warden found not one, but two deceased
individuals. Alongside Karol lay her husband, 78-year-old David Buchanan. The scene prompted an immediate and thorough investigation led by the Vermont State Police, including their Major Crime Unit and Crime Scene Search Team.
