In the community of Henderson, Tennessee, Jonathan Graham, a 39-year-old White/Caucasian male, was a familiar and beloved figure. Known for his work as a butcher, he also dedicated his time to serving his neighbors as a volunteer firefighter and a member of the rescue squad. His life, however, was tragically cut short on the afternoon of April 2, 2025.
Just before 12:30 p.m.
on that Wednesday, law enforcement officers from the Chester County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a residence in the 8600 block of State Route 100 East following reports of a homicide. Upon their arrival, they discovered Graham suffering from gunshot wounds. He was quickly transported to Jackson Madison County General Hospital in an effort to save his life, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation was called in to assist the Chester County Sheriff's Office with the investigation into Graham's death. As they pieced together the events of that fatal afternoon, their focus turned to a single suspect. Investigators identified 33-year-old Christopher Davis as the individual responsible for the shooting.
Following the investigation, authorities arrested Davis and charged him with second-degree murder in connection with Jonathan Graham's death. He was subsequently booked into the Chester County Jail, where he is being held on a $1 million bond as he awaits legal proceedings. The case is now in the hands of the 26th Judicial District Attorney General's office.
