In the quiet town of Henderson, Tennessee, the life of 21-year-old Danial Jacob Riley was tragically cut short on the evening of May 4, 2021. A lifelong resident of the community, Riley, a White male, found himself in a situation that would ultimately lead to his untimely death. The incident unfolded in the 500 block of Pinehurst Drive, where a suspected drug deal took a violent turn.
Shots rang out, and in the ensuing chaos, Riley was struck by gunfire.
Despite his injuries, he managed to flee the scene with another individual and call for help near the intersection of Mifflin Avenue and Steed Street. Emergency services responded, but Riley succumbed to his wounds. The violence of that evening also left a juvenile wounded and in need of hospitalization, a stark reminder of the far-reaching consequences of the incident.
The investigation into Riley's death was a collaborative effort between the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the Henderson Police Department, and the Chester County Sheriff's Office. Their work quickly led to the identification of a suspect. On the very same day as the fatal shooting, authorities arrested 18-year-old Timvoise De’Shad Lambert.
Lambert was taken into custody and booked into the Chester County Jail. He faced serious charges, including felony murder and especially aggravated robbery, reflecting the gravity of the alleged crimes. A judge set his bond at one million dollars, and he was scheduled for a court appearance in July of that year.
