Captain Dennis Darrell Cagle, age 56, was a dedicated officer with the Henderson Police Department in Tennessee. On December 13, 2009, he succumbed to injuries sustained three days earlier when he responded to a robbery in progress at a local grocery store. Captain Cagle was the first officer on the scene and was shot once in the abdomen upon entering the store.
