On January 4, 2025, Anthony Edward Lewis Jr., a 36-year-old African American man from Farrell, Pennsylvania, was fatally shot in the chest on the 500 block of Beechwood Avenue. The Mercer County Coroner ruled his death a homicide.
Lewis, also known by his stage name "Slime Po," was a music producer and performer deeply involved in his community. He sponsored annual events like Back to School Shoe Giveaways and Trunk or Treats.
His music career included collaborations with notable artists, and he had a significant online presence.
Witnesses reported that the incident began with a physical altercation between Lewis and 24-year-old Demaund Robinson on Robinson's front porch. The confrontation escalated inside the house, where a gunshot was heard. Lewis attempted to flee but was pursued by Robinson, who was armed with an "AR-style rifle." Lewis was later found deceased in the driver's seat of a car that had collided with another vehicle.
Robinson has been charged with first-degree murder, possession of a firearm prohibited, receiving stolen property, discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure, and multiple drug offenses. A search of his residence uncovered firearms, including a stolen weapon, ammunition, and suspected drugs. As of the latest reports, Robinson has not been apprehended.
