In the quiet town of Summerton, South Carolina, the morning of Sunday, April 13, 2025, was shattered by a grim discovery. The body of 32-year-old John Edward Rhames III, a male resident of Summerton, was found lying in a ditch near the intersection of Washington and Louis Streets. Authorities were alerted to the scene at approximately 7:42 a.m., where they found that Rhames had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the back of the head.
