In the quiet town of Summerton, South Carolina, the life of 29-year-old Dominee L. Lawson was tragically cut short on the night of June 29, 2014. A Black male, Lawson was at his home when a dispute escalated into fatal violence. He sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen and was rushed to Clarendon Memorial Hospital in Manning, where he was pronounced dead in the early moments of June 30, 2014.
