In the quiet, early morning hours of September 6, 2021, in Summerton, South Carolina, the life of 43-year-old Kelvin Brunson, a Black male, was tragically cut short. Responding to reports of gunshots in the vicinity of Furse Road, officers from the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office and the Summerton Police Department made a grim discovery. Just after midnight, they found Brunson's body lying in the driveway of a residence, bearing multiple gunshot wounds.
