On the evening of February 20, 2025, Rashaad Joshua Sinclair, a 27-year-old Black man, was fatally shot in Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. in a parking lot on Lucena Street, following a dispute. Officers from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to an emergency call regarding an assault with a deadly weapon. Upon arrival, they discovered Sinclair suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
