On the morning of February 17, 2025, the body of Daniel Anthony Smith, a 21-year-old African American male from Duquesne, Pennsylvania, was discovered in the McKeesport and Versailles Cemetery located in the 1600 block of Fifth Avenue in McKeesport. A passerby found his body around 10:44 a.m. and alerted authorities. Upon arrival, first responders pronounced him dead at the scene, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
