In the autumn of 2024, a dispute at the Tulsa State Fair tragically escalated, leading to the death of 16-year-old JaTycie Macoby Williams. An African American male, Williams was with a group of eight people in a gray SUV on October 6, 2024, when another vehicle began to pursue them onto Interstate 244. Gunfire erupted from the pursuing vehicle, striking Williams and another occupant of the SUV.
