On September 10, 1993, 20-year-old Leonard Dale Hancock Jr. was found shot to death in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was discovered slumped over the steering wheel of a borrowed car near 503 E. Zion Street in the early morning hours. A resident had heard a knock at the door around 2:53 AM and, after investigating, noticed a car with its brake lights on, prompting them to call the police.
