In a wooded area off Boenau Street in Albany, New York, the body of 24-year-old Jamier Allen was discovered on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 26, 2025. Allen, a male resident of Albany, had been reported missing that morning. An autopsy later confirmed that he had died from multiple gunshot wounds to his head and body, prompting the Albany Police Department to launch a homicide investigation.
The investigation into Allen's death soon uncovered a link to a vehicle fire that had occurred four days earlier. On Saturday, March 22, a car driven by Allen was found intentionally set on fire in the vicinity of Delaware Street and Eagle Street. This discovery became a pivotal point in the investigation, ultimately leading to several arrests in June 2025.
Authorities announced the arrests of four individuals in connection with the case. Jeyson Guerrero, 20, of Albany, faced the most severe charges, including second-degree murder, criminal possession of a weapon, and arson. Anarion Bace, 22, and Malachi Davis, 20, both also from Albany, were charged with arson and conspiracy. A 16-year-old male, whose name was not released due to his age, was also charged with arson and conspiracy. Following their arraignment in Albany County Court, Guerrero, Bace, and Davis were remanded to the Albany County Jail, while the teenager was sent to the Capital District Juvenile Secure Detention Facility.

He had worked as a drug counselor and direct support staff at the Addiction Care Center of Albany.
