On a Sunday evening in Las Vegas, on February 9, 2025, a dispute that began with words inside a lounge tragically escalated to fatal violence in the parking lot. Kaleo Kekahuna, a 46-year-old man, was shot and killed during the altercation. The incident, which also left another man wounded, unfolded around 10:00 p.m. in the 3600 block of South Jones Boulevard.

The conflict reportedly started inside the Secret Lounge and Resturant, prompting security to ask those involved to leave the premises. The argument spilled out into the parking lot, where it turned into a physical fight. During the brawl, a man pulled out a gun and fired into the group, striking two people. Both victims were rushed to University Medical Center, where Kekahuna succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds. His death was officially ruled a homicide.

In the days following the shooting, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department arrested two brothers, 24-year-old Anjele McCullough and Terrance McCullough. Anjele McCullough was identified as the gunman who opened fire on the group. He was booked on charges of open murder, battery, and nine counts of assault with a deadly weapon. His brother, Terrance, also faced an open murder charge.

However, by late April, the case against Terrance McCullough took a significant turn. A judge dismissed all charges against him after his defense attorney argued that surveillance footage from the lounge proved he was not the shooter. While Terrance was cleared, his brother Anjele's legal proceedings for the death of Kaleo Kekahuna continued.
