On May 18, 2024, 41-year-old Carl Chester Jr. was fatally shot during a street altercation in northwest Las Vegas. The incident occurred around 4 p.m. in the 7300 block of Prairie Falcon Road, near Tenaya Way and Smoke Ranch Road. Responding officers found Chester deceased at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds, while two other individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a local hospital.
