In the early spring of 2025, a burst of gunfire shattered the evening quiet at a Jackson, Mississippi apartment complex, leaving a young man's life tragically cut short. On the night of March 5th, officers were dispatched to the 3500 block of Sunset Drive following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered the body of 21-year-old Jakendrick Bass, who had sustained fatal gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
