In the quiet farm country of Stanton County, Nebraska, the afternoon of November 13, 2024, was shattered by a tragic event that would take the life of 22-year-old Jacob Sukup. A young Caucasian male from the nearby city of Norfolk, Jacob was found deceased from an apparent gunshot wound outside a farmhouse approximately five miles northeast of Stanton. The Stanton County Sheriff's office received a call about the shooting at around 2:15 p.m. and promptly responded to the scene on 840th Road.
