Death by Force

On April 13, 2025, William J. “Billy” Ray, a 63-year-old African American male from Natchez, Mississippi, was found deceased at his residence on 22 Hillcrest Drive in the Cloverdale area. Deputies from the Adams County Sheriff's Office responded to a call regarding an unresponsive male and discovered Mr. Ray had sustained a fatal gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:35 p.m.
