The injured were later treated at a local hospital and released. Knight, a Black male born on April 10, 2003, to Stacey N.
Washington and John 'Bop' Knight, Sr., had been a student within the Natchez-Adams School District. His sudden and violent death sent ripples of shock and grief through the community.
The immediate aftermath of the shooting was marked by a lack of suspects, prompting an intensive investigation by the Natchez Police Department. As detectives delved into the circumstances surrounding the incident, they began to piece together a narrative of gang-related violence.
