On May 5, 2023, a tragic shooting occurred in Natchez, Mississippi, resulting in the deaths of 19-year-olds Travione Jones and Devon Winchester. The incident took place around 10:30 p.m. in the parking lot of a strip mall behind Popeye’s on D’Evereux Drive. As Jones and Winchester exited a vehicle, they were met with a hail of bullets fired from outside the nearby Cash Savers supermarket.
