In February 2025, a welfare check at a Salisbury, Maryland, apartment led to the unfortunate discovery of 57-year-old Roy Walters, a Black male, who was found deceased with apparent gunshot wounds. The initial investigation by the Salisbury Police Department quickly evolved into a homicide case, with the Maryland State Police Homicide Unit taking the lead.
