Death by Force

Christopher Tapia, a 19-year-old male from Zion, Illinois, was fatally shot in Waukegan on December 22, 2024. The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. near South Park Avenue and Water Street, where Waukegan police responded to reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers discovered Tapia suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to Vista Medical Center East, where he was pronounced dead in the emergency room. An autopsy confirmed that Tapia had died from a single gunshot wound.
