Dai’yon Bolden, a 19-year-old African American male from Waukegan, Illinois, tragically lost his life on July 14, 2018. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. at the intersection of Genesee and Clayton streets, shortly after the conclusion of the Scoop the Loop car show. Bolden was shot by a juvenile, reportedly due to an ongoing feud between the two. The shooting also resulted in another man in his 20s being injured, though his injuries were not life-threatening.
