On March 23, 2025, 22-year-old African American male Jalen Burrell Lee was fatally shot in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The incident occurred around 4:39 p.m. in the 4300 block of Monroe Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found Jalen Lee suffering from multiple gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene. A 21-year-old African American female was also injured in the shooting and was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
