In the Hamilton Hills neighborhood of Baltimore, a life was cut tragically short on the night of March 21, 2025. Emerson Serrano-Zaldiba, a 17-year-old male, was found inside a residence on Perring Manor Road suffering from a gunshot wound. The call to police came in at approximately 10:49 p.m., reporting a shooting at the location.
Responding officers from the Northeast District arrived to find the teenager in critical condition.
They immediately rendered aid to Serrano-Zaldiba before medics arrived and transported him to a local hospital. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, his injury proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Homicide detectives were called to the scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. At this time, the investigation is leaning towards the possibility of a self-inflicted, accidental gunshot wound. The Baltimore Police Department has not released any information regarding suspects or arrests in connection with this incident, as the evidence currently points away from a homicide.
