In the winter of 2021, a tragedy born from recklessness unfolded in a Northeast Baltimore apartment, forever altering the lives of two families. Ervin Talley Jr., a 16-year-old Black/African American male, was visiting his 17-year-old friend, Tresean Parker, at the Moravia Park Apartments on February 15th. What began as a teenage pastime took a devastating turn when the boys started playing with a handgun. The weapon, belonging to Tresean's father, had been left unsecured in a bedroom dresser.
