On a summer day in Omaha, Nebraska, the life of Shawnik N. Wilson, a 27-year-old African-American mother, was tragically cut short. On June 9, 2007, Wilson was killed at 2550 Pinkney St. in what remains an unsolved murder. Details surrounding the cause of her death have not been publicly disclosed.
