Alonni Barfield, 6, a Black/African American girl, was at home in North Omaha on the afternoon of December 15, 2024, when she suffered a gunshot wound inside a residence near 32nd Street and Redick Avenue. First responders found her critically injured around 4 p.m. and rushed her to Nebraska Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
