On a summer evening in Omaha, Nebraska, on June 24, 1969, the life of a 14-year-old Black / African American female named Vivian Strong was cut short. She and a group of other teenagers were enjoying a small party, dancing to music in a vacant apartment within the Logan Fontenelle Housing Projects.
