In the small town of Lake Arthur, Louisiana, the life of 14-year-old Nayomie Marie Fontenot was tragically cut short on the night of May 7, 2025. An African American female known for her bright and energetic nature, Nayomie was a student at the James Ward Center for Excellence in Jennings, where she was regarded as intelligent and fun-loving.
